My theory is that since most campgrounds now charge a fee for each dog, people feel they have paid for a "clean-up" service and no longer have to clean up after their own dog.

It seems that the biggest objection to people not picking up after their dog is that someone will step in it - correct?
I carry one of these with me when walking our dog

I'll pick up after my dog with this and if I can find a place not close to a site (like a bushy area behind sites) and where no one will walk, will drop it there, otherwise I'll put it in a WM bag and put it in the trash.Dog droppings ARE biodegradeable - the bag isn't, so I'd rather drop it where it won't bother people.

My S&B is on a corner with a sidewalk on one side - little dogs are the worse offenders on the sidewalk sides. See it every time I edge the sidewalk, there is a strip of grass next to my fence, like 12", that is a prime spot for ruleless people - because of my wooden fence (no one can see me doing this).

Doggie bags

I recently had someone come to my door (s & b) and ask if I could give them a bag. Their dog had left gifts in my yard and they had forgotten to bring a bag.

Believe me, I would much rather have someone come and get a bag than have them leave the gifts in my yard for someone to step in.

Being in the site next to the area where everyone thinks no one steps it still smells. When its in the 90s and 80% humidity it is really bad. It was sad not to be able to really enjoy the clean air because all we could smell was dog poop.

And also, where do you think the Flies like to hang out just before they land on your picnic table during dinner?
