I should know!

Different rig this winter, after draining water out of rig to winterize, I let it sit a week before adding antifreeze. I didn't really get pump to suck up antifreeze as normal, it's like it lost it's prime. Had to use a funnel over n over till all faucets showed coolant. The pump did suck a little, but nothing like all my other rigs. Any pointers? What did I miss? Bypassed hot water heater ect.

So far every time i have problems with the pump not sucking up the antifreeze it is because of an air leak on the inlet side of the pump. Air can be sucked in via the water tank, bad valve, etc... Most of the time it the connection on the hose I use to stick in the antifreeze bottle.

Sounds like you have a valve in the wrong position allowing air in the suction line.
