I was wondering....

What about a forum within irv2 that was just for kids? No access by adults would be allowed and it could be moderated by responsible kids to keep it friendly and helpful. I think the times now dictate we should help our kids and grand kids find outlets and constructive places to share ideas about their camping passions and ideas. Anyway, just a thought.

While it wouldn't hurt anything, I'm not sure how much a kid's only forum would be used. My 13 year old loves to go camping but she's not really interested in participating in a forum. (I just asked her)

For future campers I think it would be great. They could talk about places they like to go, things they like to do, etc. However, it's probably not like true 'social media' ..... more like homework ... so I don't know if they'd go for it.

I would imagine those that full-time with children would be more interested because the kids are out there every day and could compare notes.

My thinking was that there are many more younger adults and families rv'ing now who have kids that it might be an attraction for them. A different type of place than FB, Snapchat, or something else. There are kids out there who are focused on other things not necessarily talked about on those other media.

How do you plan to keep adults out? Putting kids out on social media or other public access sites is dangerous. The perverts will be the first ones to join.

I hadn't considered it except for a verification process when signing up.

In today's world, I suspect the forum operator, would consider the possible liability as a nonstarter.
