They make and sell used RV's for the handicapped and those with special needs. Many companies sell equipment like electric platforms and chair lift (COACH LIFT) to help with entry.
I had Coach Lift chair on my previous RV that worked well lifting my mother in and out of the coach door. The physical limitations of your wife and width of walk ways, doors, and size of bathroom are factors to consider.

Newmar makes one with a lift in it, wider aisles, and a space to strap a wheel chair in. If you don't need the wheel chair space then an easy chair could be placed there.

If you can find a rig all set up that works for you it might be the way to go.
9k for our lift installed and other mods that I did.
We installed a super arm in our MH
Others also make seated and standing lifts.
Watch bedroom layout to make sure DW can access her side easily.
Roomy shower and toilet area.
Easy access to passenger seat. (I ended up moving my DW's seat back a foot.)
Most units can accommodate a walker easy enough.
But think think about the long view, will it work later too.
They make raised toilets and raised toilet seats work.
Attaching grab rails to something "solid" can be a challenge.
If your handy it's amazing what you can do.
This couple has a neat rig and she has an excellent blog about RV'ng
with special needs.

More and more resources are coming along to help those of us who
are camping w/ handicaps.
Any questions, IRV2 is the place to get your answers.

Was all set to do a Coach Lift Install but DW went on dialysis and has other problems so will need to give it up Sigh.

Take your time and shop the want adds on this forum and on others and I am sure you will find what you need. Don't compromise and do several test runs so there are no surprises.
