For those who know Thousand Trails Las Vegas, nuff said. For those who don't, it's difficult to find but one place to hook up, and that is right in front of the dog area/adult center, and you will block road there, not enough room to pass, otherwise you block the road in front of all the other RV who might be trying to visit the casinos, etc. Some parks just don't have anyplace but the road to hook up in, and the rest of us have to live with it. As an aside, I can remember being new to a place, and not knowing where the hookup area was, if any. So I am going to cut this guy some slack, because he just might not know. And we never go camping over a holiday weekend, to many crazies on the road, on the lake, and at the campground.

There is no "proper way", but asking at the office when checking in, would be appropriate. If you don't get, or understand the map, ask them to show you exactly where you need to go to unhook. When on the road traveling, we try to get pull through spot, long enough for RV+toad. Then we are not in anyone's way coming in or leaving. If PT not available, I want specific directions on where to unhook, if they say, right in front of office, I take them at their word. For those campgrounds who do not assign site, I ask to leave RV, and drive toad around find site, and leave toad in it, walk back to RV (need walk anyway from driving all day), easier than driving RV all over the place and then hiking back for toad. Some campgrounds are huge, hundred of acres, then, I will leave piece of paper on the pedestal with name and phone number, drive jeep back to RV, get both of them, and head back to site, get settled, the drive back to office and let them know what spot I am in. For those who do understand huge campground of the TT system, think of Lake Whitney, TX, Chehalis, WA and countless more.

We’ve put 30 bass boats on trailers while one pontoon boat used the other ramp. Loading coolers, fitting new life jackets on kids and grandma. Then get out the Owners manual on the new rig!
Luckily our tournament hadn’t come in when they were backing down the ramp. We were told it took 45 minutes and 3 different drivers!
Lordy the memories that brings back. We had a boat on the Chesapeake for 20 years or so. I don't recall Chapman warning us not to go out on the weekends!

I shudder to think what people are going to say about me when I push off in my new 5th wheel in 2 weeks. Hopefully the majority of camper colleagues will be patient, and I promise to be aware of how my behavior impacts others.

I also try to move as fast as possible. However, when someone else “helps”, my checklist goes out the window.

Moving to an open spot, at least making room for others, is my first concern. However, there are times when it just doesn’t work.

I will always stop what I’m doing and tell others that I’m trying and at least get the toad out of the way ASAP.

No idea why he didn't pull into the open parking area to unhook like I do.
Now he's trying to back in, two women got out to direct him, then they got into "discussion" on the middle of the road while blocking it again. They had to move the towed too since he parked it in the way.
Yikes, Lucky You-Me, only had to deal with him that one day.

That's what I tell myself when I encounter this potentially frustrating situation.

Plus - He has to look at himself in the mirror every day when shaving as a penalty. I bet he's not happy.

Or I just think I could put out my slides, fire-up the genset, turn on the air, make a sandwich, kickback and take a nap.

By the time I finish this litany of silly thoughts I have a big grin on my face and all is good.

Often times people have no or minimal common sense.... they are only concerned about whatever they are doing, completely clueless that there are other people in this world.

Just like going to an amusement park and a group decides to stop in the middle of the pathway and have a discussion.

There seem to be rude everywhere! I once pulled into a gas station behind a car that just filled up, and so I could pull in after he left to fill up?
He took forever then came out looked straight at me and opened his trunk and proceeded to eat his lunch while I waited!! Of course he looked like the hulk so I just sat and waited about a half hr. !

The reply was, "What's a motor home?"
