One of the things I use most often, is an electric screw gun. Almost anything you work on requires removing a lot of screws.

I also carry two of the 12" x 18" briefcase style assortment boxes full of screws, wire ends and every small part I've used in the past. If I buy a small inexpensive item that broke, I'll buy two and through one in as a spare. Every product I add or remove on the coach, I save the screws, nuts and bolts that are extra and through them in the box.

Basic set of tools, air tools
Multi meter / test light
Zip ties of all sizes / bailing wire / duct tape
Wire, connectors, crimpers, strippers, electrical tape
DeWalt drill, impact driver and a 1/2 impact to remove a wheel with an impact socket (and yes it will), 10 ton bottle jack
oil, coolant, hydraulic fluid, WD, fuel filters, tensioner, misc parts
Snap on digital tire gauge, portable small compressor (for toad)

Dont get me started on spare camping stuff

A screwdriver with various bits (square bits for sure) and adjustable pliers (channel locks) are the two tools I find more useful than all the other tools I carry.

Zip ties and cheap $50 tool kit with sockets and screwdrivers. Both have helped tremendously on the road. Seriously

I'm going to amplify on what mudfrog said. Go through your unit, and ensure that you have drivers or bits for every screw or nut head that you have. Besides some Phillips and flat, Robertson/square, Torx, and some nut drivers.

IMO hauling around spare parts is a waste. I've hauled a spare serpentine belt for as long as I've owned this MH, it's probably dry-rotted from just laying in the toolbox by now. NAPA auto stores sell new belts over the counter every day.

I do carry small hand tools for repairing electrical(both types) and some mechanical adjustments. Everything else; I'm in the same group as Kid Gloves.

Getting to that counter at Napa can be challenging, though, especially without a toad or motorcycle or having the Starship Enterprise remotely beam you there.

I once used the brake cable from my bicycle to fix a broken cable in the toilet. I had forgotten but the front brakes weren't working on my bike the last time I went to ride it......doh.

Find a tote that fits in one of your storage compartments. When you need to fix something or perform maintenance, put the tools you needed in the tote. You will soon have everything needed for your RV. As far as spares go, I only carry things that have been a problem in the past that cannot be found at Lowes or a good local hardware store.
