I have the ability to take anything apart. The problem is getting it all back together and working. Normally there are a few left over superfluous parts.

A decently stocked tool pouch and a good preventive maintenance plan and YouTube 😂

Retired now from 50 years as a professional auto mechanic. At work and home I would have every tool needed. When on the road, with only 2 tools, I want a Leatherman Tool and a flashlight. Few things I couldn't fix.

It's a sign of intelligence when you can put something back together using 20% less parts than the previous "engineer".

For me if I had to grab and go .. the tops are ..

JACK and lug wrench (that will actually work) unless you have road service.... skip

Small tool kit and jumper cables

I also cherish my tow recovery kit (35 foot recovery strap, hooks/clevis) I have used it, on grass/wet, sand.. both loaning it and on my own... no damage to rig.. hooks to tow vehicle proper..

From there the list expands..
Duct tape , ty raps
spare belts/hoses
Tire repair kit(plug)/Tire inflatoer
Oil/antifreeze and spare filters
then the house stuff..
