Good Morning All!
What essential items/tools will you not leave your driveway without? We are in the midst of stocking up our new to us RV and I'm a worst case scenario kinda gal

Sorry, no way to intelligently answer that question.
What RV do you have? A pop up trailer and 43' diesel pusher are not the same.
What is your skill set with electrical and mechanical items.
Yes, for some, the credit card is the ONLY answer.
For others, some tools and for others a complete tool chest with lots of spare parts.

We have a 2010 31' Four Winds class C. My Husband is mechanically inclined and willing to try to fix things prior to calling in the calvalry.
It's interesting to see what the must have's are for people, it may be something that I haven't thought of.

They carried enough spare parts to rebuild the whole space ship .

If you have the room and can afford the weight a complete set of mechanics tools along with the service manuals for your chassis and basic electrical and plumbing tools would be nice. Unfortunately many motorhomes cannot afford that much extra weight. I keep mine to basic tools that all fit into a 14" tool caddy and weighs about 20 lbs. You're probably not going to be able to do any major work on the road anyway although I've seen people replace engines and transmissions while stranded in a strange town with the help of friendly locals.

I’ve fixed a number of things with a variety of tools and we carry a few spare parts. Carrying tools and parts to fix “almost anything” is not appealing. We didn’t buy an RV to become mechanics. We have an annual service performed and we keep up on the little things, while evaluating preventive maintenance procedures on a regular basis. Basically, we try to keep everything in tip top shape at all times. Obsessing over a worst case scenario would make the overall experience less enjoyable. If that situation occurs, we’ll use the phone and credit card.

This is my repair kit for all things electrical in my coach .
For plumbing and mechanical issues several more boxes .
DW says I have to cut back on what I carry .... probably so she will have more room for her " what if " stuff .
