If you own a Roadmaster Nighthawk tow bar, READ THIS NOW

If you currently own a Roadmaster Nighthawk tow bar with a serial number ranging from 9513 to 10200, be aware that Roadmaster, Inc. has issued a safety update due to a T-bolt assembly that may loosen. If the T-bolt loosens, the bar could become disconnected from the towed vehicle. If you currently own one of the affected serial numbers, Roadmaster, Inc. will provide a free update kit to solve this safety issue. For more information and/or to claim your Nighthawk update kit, contact Jennifer Lee directly at 360-597-2434. If you prefer, you can also email Jennifer at jlee@roadmasterinc.com. For those of us that registered the product, will Roadmaster be contacting us proactively if we're affected? Otherwise I'll have to go figure out where the serial number is located.

I found this regarding the location of the serial #.

I just found my warranty registration email. I bought it in July 2020 from ETrailer and the serial number is in the low 6,000's.

Yes if you registered it and it is within that serial number range we will be contacting you. The serial number is located on the inner arms of the tow bar.

Is that the only Roadmast product subject to a safey recall?
