I love it when people help me spend money. I have been watching this thread and my plan was to build a 50 x 30. Now I will spend more to build a 60 x 40. And prolly add a lean to one side. Thanks fellow campers, even DW is on board with bigger is better.

Bigger is better not just on the footprint but also on the door width and height - the number and locations of hookups and the roof Height, Try to envision many more than just the current situation as the location of things change when you turn the RV around and back it in, which will likely happen on occasion.
Sounds as if you are on the right track, the additions should wait till you see how it goes with the basic garage.
Natural Light and ventilation are also critical along with Heat and Insulation considerations.
Best of Luck, take Hundreds of Images as you progress, maybe even set up a remote camera to document the construction, you will be surprised as to how much this helps later. (Built a few houses, and the Hunting Camera settles many subcontractor arguments )
JMHO,

If you will be building with pole barn construction, the lengths would be more efficient in 8' increments due to pole spacing. 64' for example Or 56'. Doesn't cost too much more as the poles are same number to round up or down.

I like the camera idea, was planning on lots of ventilation, going to build on lot in Az, so air movement is important.

Yes the Camera helps - most often all you need to do is Point to it - and the truth will jump out of the Subs Mouth. Also helps with security.
In the Heat the Higher the roof the higher the heat, directional fans and vents in both ends of the Gable will really help.
Last note - if you are able to get this into the Ground a bit it will also help, so if the land has a slope it would be good to use that to your advantage, along with the South Facing wall (Sun).
Sounds like you are taking your time to get it right.
Best of Luck,

I was in a shop in Vernal, UT when it was 96 - 98 degrees and the "Big As$ Swamp Cooler" sure works - I was amazed! They just rolled it around the shop and pointed it in the direction they were working to keep things cool even with the door open to work on my Coach.
Best of Luck,
