Imagine TT by Grand Design & Bumper to Bumper Coverage

Does anyone have any info on the Imagine TT by Grand Design? I’m looking at a 2020 2500RL, but some of the reviews I’ve read are pretty scary. Thanks.
Also dealer offering bumper to bumper lifetime warranty for $4000. Covers more than the $150 per year major appliances pkg. The warranty looks good as it covers everything for lifetime. Any thought appreciated.

I'd be very skeptical of that "bumper-to-bumper" claim for a lifetime warranty. It has to be full of holes and gotcha's. If you think you may want an extended warranty, shop around.

Agree with Gary on that (did I actually say that?)

Could be fine print that tightens the number of "lifetime" claims you can make, or other restrictions. Or, they don't think the stuff that will most often break on one of them is worth more than around $4,000.

I'd also take into consideration of just how long you plan to keep that RV. With routine maintenance and upkeep, I doubt you would ever spend $4K in repairs over, saw, 10 years. Therefore, if you plan to keep it 10 years or less, not worth it. And, as others mentioned, there are probably catches along the way, like they pay for parts but not labor, labor cost is capped at $X dollars/hr, etc.

A friend got a lifetime warranty that stated he had to come in every year and pay several hundred for them to perform maintenance on it or it voided the warranty.

And think of the actual cost if you are financing that 4000 dollars over 10 or 12 years. Even if you pay cash for the warranty and 4000 less down on the rv you are still financing the warranty. They will try to sell it that way also.

Look carefully at the wording of the "Lifetime" warranties. Usually you are required to return to the dealer annually and have the trailer inspected and/or services to a certain level. These are just another carefully worded bunch of legal got-you.

I agree with keymastr above. I’d bet you’ll be required to bring the RV every year in for a several hundred dollar inspection. And even after complying with that, the warranty company will still have a bag full of loopholes to deny coverage.
