Immunotherapy - Allergy injections while traveling.

Looking to see how anyone is handling allergy injections while RVing?

We travel 6-8 months of the year, typically 1-4 months at a time. Typically staying a couple days to a week+ before moving on. So not in one area for long.

Used to be able to give them to myself, with someone on hand if a adverse reaction. But no longer an option. They want me to come into home area clinic every week...

Thx!
Vince

They just want that office visit money. You have every right to do it yourself. I give myself injections of 2 different medicines every week. Just tell the doc about concerns with travel. Also, can have it called in to any pharmacy in any town you are close to.

The pharmacy's your doctor calls the medication into, may also give you the injection as a courtesy.

Immunotherapy injections are formulated based on skin reaction tests. There are very few compounding pharmacies around, the vast majority are merely selling drugs. Then the formulation must be refrigerated thereafter.
It's not as easy as it sounds. My allergist has the same rules so he may control the conditions and reactions.
