When we remodeled the kitchen in our sticks and bricks..I kept the piece of Corion that was cut out of the counter top for the kitchen sink.
This made great cutting board material.
Over the years as it got used you can sand it with diminishing grits to polish it up again.
It would be nice to find a piece that matches our rv countertop. You can drill a whole and cut out a handle ..Perhaps a visit to a local countertop place could yield a scrap.??

Don I bought one and put little stick-on feet.
Fits perfect on a flush mounted True Induction top.
Thank you so very much for this tip.
I’ll post a photo when I get out there to load for my Yellowstone Trip

$30

My local cabinet company wanted $250 to make a custom butcher block top.
Haa!

The company where I bought mine recommended coating the new board with bee's wax. I bought a squeeze tube and put on a liberal amount when new and now about once a year. It keeps it nice.

At $24.97, it was suggested to fit perfectly on top of the induction cooktop. Its dimensions are listed as: 26.3 in. W x 17.9 in. D x 0.7 in. H

I chose to use a plastic cutting board cut to fit from this company: https://www.cuttingboardcompany.com/

I found that you sizing the cutting board larger than the cooktop and using some rubber feet helps keep it centered over the cooktop.

Take care,
Stu
Stu,
I got one from Homedepot. It’s perfect.
$30
Thank you

We purchased a Forrest River product that had Corian counters (very attractive)
and the sink covers were the UGLY/CHEAP looking black cutting board material.
I discovered that if you look at the underside of the counters (where you can)you will come across a sticker that tells you the color/make/material of the counters.
I called Forest River to get the manufacture. Called them and had two inserts made that worked and looked perfect.
It wasn't all that expensive.
PS: It was a undermount sink application

Don
Thank you for the GREAT idea. I purchased the "Husky" board and rubber feet.
I will coat in bees wax as you suggested.
We do the same as you. We use the thin plastic cutting mats that are a lot easier to wash dry/store. and when they get a little worn....On to the next
EXCELLENT IDEA
