Glad to see that its working for you. This is why I never checked mine. I just started cooking with it and it worked.

Larry, you were lucky! I'm glad I didn't do that on the first one!

I bought mine off Ebay. First one had a cracked glass top. Second one worked out of the box. Never checked it until Joe asked. My numbers are much different than others have posted. But does what it is supposed to.

Just wanted to give you an update on the True Induction cooktop.

There was a misunderstanding with the people at True Induction about them taking back the cooktop I bought from Amazon and refunding the money that I paid for the second unit. After getting to the right person that problem was resolved and they have credited my Visa card!

We have only made one short trip since getting the new one installed, but it seems to be working great! The best thing is that Annette's happy!

I think this is gonna prove to be one of the best mods we've made!

Induction cooktop

I have seen one installed, noticed they are common in new RVs and now I want one. Where have people bought their induction cooktops? I see Amazon sells the True Induction, which I want, but the one I saw installed came from a surplus RV store. Anyone know the best outlet for these units?

My wife bought a Max Burton one burner at an RV show inTampa 2 yrs ago. She used it on top of the counter for quite awhile and she loved cooking with it.

Since we had a residential refer we decided to switch to induction and build the unit in. We looked at the True Induction 2 burner models but we were told if you had one of the burners on high the other burner would not have full power so we install 2 Max Burton units on 2 separate electrical circuits and they work wonderful for the last 2 years. We even gained a bunch of storage when we removed the propane tank.
We can even remove a unit from the stove cavity in the countertop and take it outside to cook if we desire.
