Several years ago, we bought a two seat Hobie inflatable kayak with pedals. It was great as you could paddle or pedal. It folded into a large nylon bag. We would inflate it in camp and roll it to the water with attachable dolly wheels (accessory).

We have an Intex K2 two person inflatable and love the portability. We keep it in a box in the truck bed so it's always ready to play.

We recently helped a couple who rolled their inflatable on their maiden voyage. Their kayak had seats that were much higher than ours.
I wonder if the high center of mass helped cause their rollover.
We have been in water too choppy for comfort, but never felt like we were going to roll.

I had an Aquaglide for a couple of years and it seemed to be good quality. The one I had was under 10', though, so it did not track well. That's why I sold it.

Currently I'm using a Vilano Navigator SUP with a Sea Eagle inflatable seat. It's slow, but it's a cheap rig and it tracks well.

A great many people have and like the Sea Eagle kayaks. They have many different styles to choose from.

We also have the Intex K2 - two of them. Highly recommend with the following caveats - #1 invest in a quality, high flow 12V pump
#2 put a roll of extra wide gorilla tape in a waterproof bag and keep it with you. In a pinch it will patch a good size hole and save your float until you get to the takeout. Wouldn't hurt to have a patch kit back in the camper just in case.

We had a K2 also and used it for a number of years but only paid $70 for it new! It wasn’t the fastest thing, we used it on lakes and rivers in Florida which are close to lakes - not much in the way of currents. It was stable and fun.

It finally bit the dust when it got a hole in it - the hole was on the inside not the outside! I tried their patch kit but it wouldn’t stay on.

If you plan to do river rapids I would recommend you get something else. But for a fun float it’s fine.

Anyone consider the ORU foldable kayaks ? Most of the reviews / YouTube videos have been positive. A bit expensive but easy to transport without some of the inflatable problems.

BillJinOR, Changing Lanes you tubers use one. They have reviewed it, they seem to like it.

Another upvote for the K2. Best bang for the money, if you just want to paddle around. They store small... we keep two on our cabin cruiser and have a great time. We also take them with us if we glamp near water.
Oh, and another upvote for getting a decent inflator. Since we have one on the boat for the other inflatable water toys, it was a no-brainer. The XYL forgot to bring it once when she went with a friend down to the lake one afternoon, and she gave up trying to manually inflate it with the included hand pump.

We've had our 385Ft for about 5 years. This year, many of the seams and D-rings have come unglued. I've been chasing air leaks all winter (in Florida) and haven't used the kayak at all. [emoji35] When not in use, the kayak is stored deflated and under cover from the sun.

Any pump that is recommended? I like the tape idea.

I recommend that you check out the kayak used by Changing Lanes.
