Interior Door Sweep

I am purchasing a used trailer, but have a question on interior doors.

I'd like to put a door sweep on the bathroom door, but would this eliminate good airflow for the vent? Or would it have enough air to go through the bristles.

I wouldn't do anything to block the airflow in the bathroom, especially considering the quality of the 'wood' used for cabinets.

The gap on the door is used for air return to the furnace and AC.

No matter what type of door sweep you use, it would block a good bit of airflow.
Why do you want to block it?

It has a 2 inch gap at the top and bottom of the door. So I was thinking that would be sufficient. I have an 18 month old and another on the way in 2 months. My little one is relentless and pushes things under the door gap.

I'm thinking not seeing light through the bottom would be enough to for him not to try anything. I wasn't going to put a solid sweep on, hoping it would still allow proper ventilation.

If you block or even restrict the bottom it will be hard to remove humidity lower than the top opening. Why not leave the door open when the bathroom isn't in use, nowhere to stuff things. Gate it if he wants to play there.

Just electrify the bottom of the door.....just kidding!

Kids grow sooooo fast, that after a few trips it will be a non-issue. I wouldn't worry about it.

no items less than 2" on board. As a bonus, go a little larger and no worries of toys down the chute

The bigger issue is heater ducts in the floor if you have any. All kinds of stuff goes into those.

You could use a rubber door sweep and then install one of these in the bottom of the door. Just search for 'door vent'.
