Inverter high output amp problem

I have a magnum energy RD2212 in my 07 Damon Outlaw and here are my issues:

1) my controller says my inverter model is a ME2012, but that's not what it says on the inverter. It this a problem?

2) the controller display says my microwave is pushing 200 amps, my hair dryer on low is 30 amps, my hair dryer on high is 150 amps. My batteries (2, 12 volt deep cycle 75 AH ((I think))) only seem to last 15 minutes. Is it even possible for these amp readings to be correct? Everything is showing a massive amp output. What could be the problem?

I'm stuck. Please help.

Yes the readings are correct.

If you look at anything your running, it should list the watts it draws.

A hair dryer can draw 1500 watts. That's 3/4 the capacity of the inverter.

1500 watts ų12 volts = 125 amps.

Any appliance that has an amp listing, at 120 volts, will draw 10 times as much amps at 12 volts, thru an inverter.

You should have a minimum of 400 AH battery capacity for a large inverter to dry hair or run a microwave.

Your two 75 amp hour batteries are way undersized.
They are a total of 150 AH at a 20 hour rate. That means they will last 20 hours if your drawing 7 amps. Less then 1 hour if you draw 150 amps, and that would be until 10.6 volts, dead.

I use a Magnum ms2812 which has the remote panel, which allows me to set everything up (charge rate battery type ECT)
I also have 4 deka group 31 AGM batteries totaling 440 amp hours.
I would suggest that you updated you battery bank.
Others are using batteries that cost upward of $900.00 each. They do have there own benefits. Weight, programming, monitoring ECT.
The deka batteries a "affordable choice" over the lithiums.
You can also call Magnum energy and ask the tech services to walk you through the process of programming the me 2012.
I usually speak with Glen.

Good luck.
