I got some prices on flags and if there is sufficient interest perhaps we could order these but they are expensive. I would like to know is you are SERIOUSLY interested. Here are some details:

A 3 x 5 flag with logo printed on white. Logo is printed on one side with 80 percent bleed through to the other side. They have grommets and are suitable for out door use. The problem here is price - since we would be ordering a tiny number the cost is high. By the time we add artwork fees and shipping we are looking at $75.00 per flag. Let me know if you are willing to commit to this and I will order them if we can get a dozen or more folks interested.

Hi Janet,
In one word, SOLD.

Now for the fun part. Are the flags going to be numbered and come with a certificate of authenticity? Over time, the lower numbered flags could be worth bunches of $$$ as collectibles.

What is your bid for flag #1?

Hi Dirk,

My assumption is Andy would get flag #1 and those serving iRV2 in a volunteer capacity (who wanted a flag) would get the next numbers. For us members, our numbers would start after the above mentioned folks were taken care of.

However, me thinks releasing my bid for flag number one, in advance, could drive the price up quickly. I do have my home equity loan check book handy, should an auction come about!

I believe Hitchhiker already has the first flag, the Betsy Ross edition.

I'll commit to buying one.

Are the first 12 "Limited Editions"?

Gary,

Do you have a lot of home equity to cover that check?

I have flag #1 which was made in April 2003. Here's a photo of it flying high from my rig at the Spring 2003 Appalachian Campers Rally at Raccoon Holler CG.

Hi Richard,
How about that. Nice photo. You must have an "un circulated" iRV2 flag. That is and will continue to be highly prized and cherished. Hopefully, it is insured. Do you store it in a safe deposit box? Consider putting the flag in your will. The un circulated flags were BMT (Before My Time). Guess I'll need to get one of the numbered flags with a certificate of authenticity.

I like your style.

I think an opening by you of $1,000 for an authorized reproduction ought to knock most, if not all out of the auction.

Seriously, we need at least 12 to commit to a purchase @ $75 in order to make it happen.

It might take an announcement in that Forum to get noticed. Lots of posts/threads get in this Forum & members might not see it (unless subscribed or checking frequently) or the thread could get lost in the list.

Thanks, Sheila! I looked at their website and found a flamingo (mascot for the Texas Boomers) flag that I liked. They made one for me that says "Texas Boomers" on the bottom. It is great! They sent me an email that the flag had been shipped and it arrived in record time. I also go an email thanking me for my business. I highly recommend this company!
