iRV2 Social Sets New Records

Hi all,
The iRV2 social, held at the Tampa Super Show set some new records.

1. 27 attendees (including me) this is a record
2. about 1/2 of the attendees were not iRV2 members! This is the most non-iRV2 members we've ever had. Hopefully, this will result in new members.
3. The social lasted the full 90 minutes!

All this happened after the Super show moved the Newmar rally, at the last minute. We were located in the North West (instead of South East) corner of the fair grounds. There was quite a bit of socializing. The highlight of the social was when Dirk was presented with a 4 pack of Route 66 root beer (the official Route 66 root beer direct from Williams, AZ.)

If you go to the Tampa Super Show, try to attend the iRV2 social. It's growing every year and those attending are glad they did.

Lastly, a highlight for me was to meet 007. He's a great guy.

Hi Gary
Glad to hear you had such a large group. Miss the good times at the Tampa Show, but had to see what Quartzsite is all about. Staying with the Newmar "Gathering in the Desert" group and having a great time.
In 2 days the Arizona Sun Catchers taking over area for their rally.

We forgot all about the get-together at the fairgrounds. But 8 more of us iRV2ers were chowing down on seafood at Willie's in Valrico while the social was underway. Our group was camped together about 10 miles from the show.

We camped next to 007 at the 09 National Rally. At the show, he passed us going in the opposite direction on a scooter but by the time we figured out where we knew him from he had disappeared into the crowd.

As a contribution to the economic recovery, one couple in our group bought a new rig at the show. We spent a few hundred at the supplier booths.
