Yes, iRV2.com is on the decline. You have a couple of Know It All’s that dominate the forum. I only come here once a week to read now and don’t post much. It is not worth the aggravation.

I am new to this forum, asked a question about Arizona, and recieved several courteous, informative, and pleasant replies. I used to camp out at another forum, but not as much as I used to. The reason I got turned off of it was all of the sarcasam, disrespect, and meaness displayed by several people to valid questions. Yes, I was brought up to treat others as I would like to be treated. Happy camping everyone....kwy

I like that from what I've seen political posts aren't allowed. I can put up with a lot if we keep that **** out of here.

I've been on other forums with "Know It Alls".....the people you are referring to here, though, are in no way "Know It Alls". Yes, they do post a lot and know a lot more than the rest of us, but they all present their knowledge in an informative & friendly way. I haven't seen anyone's intelligence challenged or insulted by these posters. Sorry you feel that way, tnance.....as Andy posted, if something doesn't appeal to you, report it and it will be addressed and resolved if necessary.

I still really like this forum, and have started a few threads since the new to me 5th wheel needed some things done in areas I haven't had to mess with before (bent landing leg, and other little issues).
Everyone who's ever helped me with a question has been polite and informative. I also kind of like it when I find someone with a question where I might be able to help. It kind of feels like I'm contributing something back.
I also will have to see if I can do anything about how my computer works with the new software. Pages load fast, and the preview feature is nice, but for me the page scrolls really sluggishly and jumpy.

We would agree with most who find this a friendly and informative forum. Many moons ago we used other forums where courtesy and politeness were at a minimum. Here we find friendly people that do not use sarcasm or belittlement to make their points. Few, if any, queries are treated as stupid or overdone previously.
Thanks to all who have been such a great help to newbies such as ourselves for their patience and understanding.
Best...Jack&Rita

Great forum for us. I don't know enough to be dominated by any of the posters that are just trying to help me. And remember, if some of the advice bothers you...its worth exactly what you're paying for it.

IMO it doesn't appear that the forum is in decline. However, I must admit that in the past I was on the forum daily (sometimes more than once) and now my visits are few and far between. It's probably just me.

Take a look at this list on the main page of total members that have visited the forum in the last 24 hours. To read it the the arrow on the right must be pointing up, if it's pointing down click it and the list opens.

I certainly agree with Dick & Pat, that the only "Know-it-Alls" to appear on this forum are, in fact, quite knowledgeable, and if they did not post, many of us would not have the information we need. In addition, they are always friendly, don't yell, and are never rude. I believe this to be the best RV info exchange site on the web; it has been a great help to me. (Maybe because I don't know it all yet?)
I would also have to agree that if visiting or posting (any site) causes extreme aggravation, the sensible thing would probably be to avoid it.
While I'm at it, may as well throw in MOHO on the "decline" of this site: It could be that it does not seem as large as it once was, but I have to believe that is simply numbers, possibly or probably due in part to the recent economy dump, but definitely not in quality. Which tells me that, on a per capita (member) basis, we're getting the same quality input and activity that we always have.
Sorry if I seem to feel too strongly about it . . .

Did you ever think that the no it alls, realy do know it all; for instant; I've been RVing 3 to 4 months a year for over 25 years; owned both trailers and motorhomes; (lots of them) I've had just about every problem you can think of, been to every state in the united states more than once, most of the state and national parks; etc. I don't know it all, but I know a lot.
