Comming down I81 today I saw a truck with a Airstream mounted on the bed. The wheels and axles were gone. I wish I had a picture.

Yep, guy up here has about a 26 foot trailer set on an older barge that he's putting together to make a houseboat.

I saw the same thing in Virginia Beach last summer. A guy took a TT and put it on a Freightliner truck. Had to have a special set of steps made in order to get up in it.

My son-in-law's uncle has a fifth wheel mounted on a frieghtliner chassis. Mounted it backwards, had 6" walls for extra insulation and has the door on the street side with steps that come out with a small porch. Where the pin was, has been converted to a small garage at the rear of the chassis for his snowmobiles to ride. They built a door to walk into from the cab and fiberglassed it all together for a factory appearance.
