Is it almond or parchment? never would have thought White!

so my tub cracked and upon further investigation I found the reason why. The platform the mfg built only supported the back half of the tub so guess where it cracked! I was going to have to pull it out to fix the platform so figured I'd just get a new one and not worry about a patched tub going back in.

In ordering a new one I couldn't decide if it was almond or parchment. Who could tell from a picture comparing it to something in person so I guessed at parchment. It is a real close match for the current tub.

However, in pulling the current tub out today I find out it is WHITE!, yes the sun had discolored it that bad and the areas that were covered by the shower door trim and the enclosure are still white as can be. Also, there is a label on the end that is readable and it says White as well.

I am just amazed it changed so much, I never would have guessed it was originally white.

I am currently replacing my gold (aged parchment or white) tub and surround with a white shower and surround. What a difference! Looks 20 yrs newer. LOL

I have taken all my ceiling AC vents, roof vent trims, ceiling lights out and bleached them back to original color. Saw a method on YT where they use a high percentage concentrate of Hydrogen Peroxide from a beauty supply shop and painted them all with the HP, then placed them in ziplock bags and sat them outside in the sun for 2 days. Back to original color! Or you can use a UV light instead of the sun.
