If you look close, there is nobody in the drivers seat.

You only hook up the safety chains .......if you're not dragging two propane bottles. Everyone knows that!

Good observation!
Had to be a really fast lens to capture the spokes in the trailer wheels that clearly if it was taken at road speed.

The trailer could be stopped. I think the moving vehicle is the photographer's. The OP is not the photographer just the messenger. Don't shoot him.

That's why I phrased it the way I did. The OP is only reporting what the guy told him, not trying to put the OP down in any way.

I tend to look a these and laugh, but I'm also trying to remember things happen. They happen to me, but some things can be avoided. The wife tells me I double check stuff too much. With the hold down parts there, someone just overlooked securing them or got in too much of a hurry. I can see my FIL doing this. They went and got a brand new king size bed. His final words before leaving the place, it don't need a rope,it aint going nowhere. Add on top of that when he drives its to the floor or stopped, no in between. I never knew a king size mattress could fly a hundred feet in the air. When it landed it was way way off in a pasture. He also went and got a 20 foot fiberglass ladder. very expensive. Also said it didn't need a rope. We never did find it. I'm sure someone else did. He did drag a complete gas grill with a bottle which the hose tore off and it was just gone. A hole was drug in the lid. He tears up anything he touches.

I catch grief for not letting people help me break everything down. I know they're trying to be helpful and I tell them that but I'd rather do it myself so that I know it's done and it's done right. I will give a couple small things for them to do just to shut them up but I always end up going behind them and double checking it and putting everything exactly how I want it. I'm pretty picky about that stuff......when it comes to the camper there's only 1 way to do things....my way. Wife is in charge of indoors stuff but I still make sure everything is secured before closing it up. Doesn't make her very happy but it's just what I do.

Did not mean that. Please don't take it that way. My OCD won't allow me to leave a cliché unfinished. Thus don't shoot the messenger. I did not think you were. Sorry.

My first thought was maybe the repo man came to get it and didn't know what he was doing...snatch and grab, then stopped down the road to figure out what he needed to fix.
