My DW started smiling on Monday, and sure doesn't miss it! I have 3 1/2 years...

Not an educator, but a school district Facilities Manager. Sep 1 is when I started smiling knowing that I squeezed 20 weeks worth of modernization work into the 10 weeks available and every kid has a seat to put his warm fanny!

I retired several years ago and never once regretted it. Bless those that are still trying to survive until retirement.

I retired from teaching 2 years ago but that gets me 1/2 retired. I still own my campground which means I still work about 8 months each year. The good news is that DH and I can take the RV and spend 2 months in Florida each year. I have to admit that I miss school. What I don't miss is having to get up so early each morning.

Not an educator but today is the first day of my retirement after 36 years as a Financial Advisor. To celebrate the occasion my wife and I took delivery of a 2017 Winnebago ERA 70 X.

Can't wait to hit the road!

Agrarian school calendar - generally speaking this is when the new school year starts. September to June.

How did you know it was September? I can't (don't) even keep track of days any more.

Both my wife and I are retired teachers. She was an elementary librarian and I was a secondary math teacher. We've been retired a number of years now - she more than me.
