Just found my Dometic toilet instructions taped around supply line behind toilet
I always wondered why there were no instructions for the toilet in the 3-ring binder with all the other instructions. 10 years later I'm cleaning the toilet and I find that they are wrapped around the supply line behind the toilet, in a plastic bag
Also included is a little flat plastic tool with a piece of hook Velcro on it for cleaning the ball seal, if it doesn't hold water like it should. I just learned that if I lift up on the pedal it adds water to the bowl, I did not know that.
Still discovering new things. Just few weeks ago I discovered where the slide-out motor access panel was.

I had a 12 year old Georgetown. I had to repair the flush valve for the toilet and, yep, mine was still there too.

That's why I posted this thread, in case anyone else didn't realize that. Also the idea of cleaning minerals off the ball seal if it's leaking.

I tied a heavy cord through the hole in an OLD toothbrush to clean the ball and groove. That's so I didn't drop the toothbrush down the hole but instead, put it around my wrist. Worked great.
Note: Don't reuse the brush on your teeth!

Instesting. My ball seal didn't hold water. I thought it was just age and I had to replace it.
Then, when I brushed my teeth I started spitting it in the bowl instead of the sink. The seal began to hold water again!
But I like your idea better.

That's a good idea, I think I'll drill a hole in the end of that little tool and make a little leash to go around my wrist. It's really flat, designed to go in between the ball in the seal, then you run it around to wipe off dried minerals from the bottom side of the seal. They say to put some bowl cleaner on that little velcro spot.

if I lift up on the pedal it adds water to the bowl,
I just add it to mine manually. No need to lift a foot.

Absolutely, when you sit down just reach down and pull up on the lever.

I guess a thorough cleaning after 10 years might yield most anything.
My wife would have found that before we even used our camper.

To clean the bowl seal I just add a few oz of Lime Away to the bowl once a year. Never new there was a special cleaning tool.

Ours didn't have instructions either. Going to take a peek behind the fixture next time I'm out in the trailer. And thanks for the heads up about how to clean the ball seal -- good to know!
But, Oh Boy. 10 years before knowing how to use the toilet - - I don't think I could hold it that long!

Actually I think the person that said they spit their toothpaste into the toilet came up with a great way to clean it.
By the way in my defense, I have cleaned behind the toilet, but it was so well tucked in, and it's a little tiny bathroom, I couldn't see it. There's a plastic cover that goes around the base, that is open in the back.
