I turned 85 the first part of this month. Last year at this time, right after I lost my wife of 63 years, I bought my 5th motorhome. Rather than towing a car, I put a put a bike carrier on the back and bought a new scooter. Since Halloween, I've been running around the country visiting relatives and friends. Right now I'm in Del Rio, coming back from the Outer Banks. Not sure when I'll go back home.

73 years young, 1st time RVers.

I am 73, my wife 72, & we bought our pickup & 1st26 foot Wildwood Rv this past summer. We stayed within 100 miles @ 3 RV parks & look forward to many more in the upcoming seasons. The seasonals are so helpful & pleasant.

Be on the safe side...

If you are really concerned about your driving skills, I might suggest that you go to a professional driving school and have one of their instructors ride with you for an hour and get a professional opinion on your competence. As others have said, age is just a number. I know some folks in their fifties that shouldn’t be driving.

If you are having any concerns about driving I would suggest you have a professional instructor from the local CDL provider make an assessment of your abilities. I know some guys in their 50s that shouldn’t be driving. As others have said, age is just a number.

I'm 68 and my wife is 59. Just went from a 38' 5th wheel to a 42.5' motorhome. I plan to continue working for seven more years and I hope I'm still motorhoming well into my 80's like the folks who've already responded.

I am 77 and soon to be 78. Been operating motorhomes for 23 years now, the last two being 40 ft dp. I was starting to get a little stressed out going through large cities and just recently downsized to a 36 Ft diesel super c. It’s not as wide and actually handles better than the larger class A. It’s a lot less stressful now and we love it. Miss the storage and room of the dp but we manage well.

Middle of life. Glad the first part is over, and I made it through, relatively unscathed. On towards the rest of it.
Let the games continue...

Just turned 64 the wife 57 we just bought a 2017 London Aire 45 footer. I am the managing partner in 6 business my business partners are in their early 40s. I am trying to escape and let them run the business but after about a month on the road, I start getting phone calls. I always return but one day I will just turn off the cell phone and stop checking my emails.
We have managed to put on about 30k miles in the last couple of years.

Be sure to have a parking spot lined up - it's getting really crowded outside.
