True, it is about opinions, and --the right to life or women's reproductive rights have nothing to do with RV'ing. We can discuss those two issues ad-infinitum without resolution. It's also true we are all entitled to have our opinions respected, including Justice Thomas. Although I think he does have a valid basis for his personal concern about affirmative action. (my opinion! Also not RV related..)
We were very pleased to meet the Justice and his wife -sitting around a campfire at an RV park in Bar Harbor, Maine in the fall of 2000. We also did not realize who our neighbors had been until a few months later when he was on TV.

Your right those issue have nothing to do with Rving and therefore unless you want to discuss them, a divisive individual like Mr. Thomas should not be praised for anything other then being a supporter of Rving. Not praised for a backbone or a perfect american hero. Those opinions are your right as it is my right to relate mine.

Please read Judge Thomas' opinions on them and on other issues. You may be surprised or very, very pleased. D
Dixieray,

I am the original poster. My post was intended to recognize that a Supreme Court Justice enjoyed the RV lifestyle, whether it had been Justice Thomas, or former Justice O'Connor, or Justice Kennedy, etc., etc.

It is unfortunate that, for you, everything must be reduced to a single issue political stance. That is most unfortunate.

I was not the one to first praise the justice for what he stands for...You are missing my point. The previous posters PRAISED his "juris prudence" not his Rving life. Am I not welcome to the same rights? It is unfortunate, that you do not believe I am. I will let this go for now...Can't wait for "Sarah Palin" Rv's Alaska LMAO !!!!!!

This will be my last post on this thread.

Dixieray, I would invite ANY Supreme Court Justice to my campsite anytime. It is obvious any one of them has achieved the pinnacle of their profession even though I will most definitely disagree with some of them on their views, as they will mine.

I do not miss your point. Your point is insignificant.

Without consideration for political ideology, I would love it if more leaders would start Rving. I'm thrilled to think that persons in positions of power may have a better understanding of our situations.

Off-topic a bit, but 4 years ago, I am in my tow vehicle stopped at the intersection by LazyDaze and Flying J near Tampa, and a big 45' super bus RV rolls through the intersection making a slow careful left turn in front of me.

I can barely see the short slim driver and I do a triple take because he looks for all the world like Sammy Davis, Jr. I do believe in resurrection, but I'm pretty sure SDJr is still looking at the underside of the grass. Would have loved to have met up with that driver and got his story.

I believe DixieRay has made some very valid points. Is there a thread about other "celebrity" RVers?

Sammy Davis isn't dead. He lives on a farm in MN with Elvis. I believe there are some very famous RV'ers though. That blond bomshell who was on Baywatch recently sold her Airstream trailer equipped with a stripper pole and many mirrors.

Kathy Bates (Harry's Law) Said on, I think, the Tonight Show last week that she is a RV'er.

Hey watchit eh? That blond bombshell grew up on Vancouver Island in a little burg called Ladysmith.

She didn't grow out until she got to Hollywood.
