When I make a reservation, I print out the confirmation and put it in a folder, by date, in the motor home. I may mark any specifics on the print out, such as, paid in full, deposit, etc.

I then place the dates in my phone so I don't double book something.

When at a campground that we're not familiar with, I'll take their brochure/campground map and mark the best spots for the next time I book.

How many campgrounds do you usually visit during these trips?

Well, I started to try and remember everything and said, "Wait a minute..it's in my document!".

So here's a copy of our schedule that we used for last summers Oregon coast trip:

Camping Reservations:
July 12th – 13th – Whispering Pines RV park: Cle Elum, WA Site 24 $46 Paid (Pull-thru 45’) 509-674-7278
July 13th – Planning on staying at Rachael’s, but need to confirm Confirmed!
July 14th – 16th – Fort Flagler SP, Site 107, $82.00 (2 nights), 360-385-1259, In@2:30, Out@1:00
July 16th – 19th – Fort Stevens SP: Loop O Site 48 $104.00 Paid (3 nites), 503-861-3170 Ex 21, In@4:00, Out@1:00
July 19th – 21st – Shorewood RV Pk, Site 94, $120.30 Paid (2 nites) – 503-355-2278, In@1:00, Out@noon
July 21nd – 24th – Sea & Sand, Site 100 Site 110, $64 deposit, $220.24 balance (3 nights) Charlene – 1-877-821-2231, In@1:00, Out@?

The return trip we just winged it, and I think took 3 days to get home.

So a total of 7 campgrounds. I think if I were to do it again (which we will this summer) I'd wouldn't change so much. I would just plan on using the toad to ranger further out and explore and then return back to the campground. But it was our 1st time using a toad, and we didn't know what to expect.

We're planning on staying a week at Sea & Sand RV resort this time as it's RIGHT ON THE BEACH!
It is a bit pricey but wow...what a view!

Legal pad for near upcoming reservations and plans.

Further out reservations go on Google calendar. Print out the reservation receipt and place in a folio.

I save all my e-mail confirmations in a folder I labeled campground reservations using gmail.
I use RV Trip Wizard to plan all our trips and as we get closer to departure time I have Trip Wizard print out a spread sheet of our entire trip.

I then print all our email confirmations put those and the spread sheet in a folder and away we go.

I save the dates and campgrounds in the calendar on my phone. I scroll through the month to see where and when I'm supposed to be somewhere. The email confirmations are forwarded to DH to keep in his folder. Pretty much one sheet of paper per reservation. That way I know where and when, he knows how much.

I use RV Trip Wizard for planning, so I have a link to all the websites in the trip planner.

I made an Excel spreadsheet with all the columns I needed to show location, dates, phone number, whether I paid a deposit or prepaid, notes about the campground, what amps I reserved (30/50), etc. It worked great and was easy to update. I had all the info I needed. It was especially useful to be able to put down whether there was a particular highway or entrance to use and low clearances nearby to avoid. It worked well when we approached Zion NP and needed to avoid a tunnel.

My main email is a Gmail account. I just label the confirmation emails as they come in and then archive the email. When I want to check a date or location I just look in that label.

On a side note, we're heading down to Florida next week for 2 to 3 weeks. We were trying to remember all the hiking trails and other scenic spots we visited 4 years ago.

Just for fun I checked Google Maps Timeline and lo and behold there was my entire history of travels from 4 years ago.

Creepy? Maybe. Helpful? Sure is.

I am the planner. Everything goes into my iPhone, which syncs to other devices through iCloud.
As soon as I get the confirmation email I flag it so it doesn't get buried. Most of the time there is a link to add to calendar, and I use the Notes option to enter any pertinent details like site number, remaining fees, etc. By using the link from the email it usually enters the complete address, so I can just click on that link to open the Maps app for directions. The calendar event is always saved to the family calendar, so my husband has the same information. If I'm driving he can refer to his phone or iPad to give me updates.
Anything out of the usual goes into the Notes App, which also updates through iCloud. If I feel my husband needs the additional information I will share that note with him too.

I basically just keep track of current or future reservation in my iPhones calendar, and copy of the reservation confirmation in a folder in the iPhones mail app. This way regardless of if on my iPhone, iPad, boat anchor Windows Surface.

The confirmations for the current trip are printed out and handy for checkin. After we setup I take a picture of two for posterity and enter into a journal not only the particulars of the park (name, address, phone, date, amenities, etc) but also our impressions of our surroundings (quality of the site, weather, etc).

Initial planning is with an online tool and navigation is with map and GPS.
