Is this Sea & Sand RV Resort in Oregon? Looks like it. How's the wind in November? I hear it can be pretty intense.

I love that shot! Sitting here at work right now, looking at that picture...hmm, almost there!

Keeping Track of Camping Reservations

Yes it is . This was over Christmas 2019 wind was 35MPH with 65MPH gusts For a day and a half, then a day of rain, then it calmed down and it was like this til we left on 27th. Right now I’m sitting at Turtle Rock RV park in Gold Beach. Just thought I’d rub it in.

The calendar event is always saved to the family calendar, so my husband has the same information. If I'm driving he can refer to his phone or iPad to give me updates.

Anything out of the usual goes into the Notes App, which also updates through iCloud. If I feel my husband needs the additional information I will share that note with him too.

This is very similar to what I do with the exception of using the Notes app. I also use Google Maps to save places that I am interested in going. Click on the location, then Save. Once you hit Save a window will pop up. You’ll be given a choice of marking rage place as a Favorite, a ”Want to go” , or as a Starred location. A heart, green marker or star will appear on the map respectively. You can also add notes if you wish.

Keeping Track of Camping Reservations

RV Wizard stores all my trip information including campground info. I save reservations to my iPhone calendar and email confirmation in an email folder titled “Travel Reservations “ I also make sure I do a review with RV Life on every campground I stay in for others to use and for myself. I make paper copy of all reservations and keep it in a folder in my truck along with any special information I want handy such as maps, places of interest or restaurants.

I also keep a list of certain items needed or places we want to check out in Notes. It’s ongoing and constantly changing.

I know this is redundant but I’m old school and like my information on paper. [emoji2958]

When we were full timing I kept a 3 ring binder with page protectors in it. I would put our confirmation pages (they had the campground name, address, phone, etc) in a page protector. I would keep these in the order of our travels. At the top of the page I would put our arrival date, departure date and beside our departure date I would put how many miles we had to travel to our next campground and approximate drive time. Yes we are old fashion and don't like to rely totally on digital means of keeping track of things. After our stay on each confirmation page we also would write if it was a decent campground or one to avoid in the future if we ever come back through that area. If there was really good restaurants in the area we would also make a note of them on the confirmation page. We have saved this notebook for future reference not only for us but if people ask us for recommendations of a campground in a certain area we can help them out.

I have a 300 page document with campgrounds and boondocking spots we've stayed over 16 years of full-timing.... lots of notes on each stop. Nothing on reservations though.... we didn't make them.

If you are going to use Google Calendar to track the reservations, it might be a good idea to create a Google Contact for each campground. To make it easier to find the campground contacts, you can assign them all to a new group.

Once you have the contacts created, the next time you schedule a reservation on Google Calendar you can just link the campground's information by selecting it when you get to the 'location' field in the event creation page.

Someone posted this on another forum for trip planning records. Check it out. You could add your reservation information, also.

It is pretty nice we’re in the site at the bottom right hand side where you can just see the top of a trailer. I can see the ocean from my dining table and Hunter Creek is right under my wiClick image for larger version

Thumbs up Print and RV Parky

I first print out the reservation before we leave home. I do have a small printer in my RV when making reservations on the road. All my reservations (including other things like restaurants and hotels when needed) are kept in RVPARKY app. It moves the calendar around when I make changes on the road. There is a place to add comments and attachments. Directions, connections - its really works well and is so easy to work with.

They do not always have the campsites I pick, but I can just put them in. I think its free, so try it before you buy any other programs. RV PARKY APP and online at www.rvparky.com
