How long does the battery last in a keyless door lock ?
Is it very hard to change out the batteries?

I found the RVlock battery life is about 1 - 1.5 years and easy to change out. Same question came up on this thread:

We've had two different brands of keyless entry on our MH. Battery life depends on usage, door friction, and battery quality. For us the bottom line is always have a hide a key.

Changing the battery on both was not difficult, but still a bit of a pain. Only two screws to remove to access the battery compartment. However, for me, reinstalling the little black screws can be a challenge. Must impose on the DW at that phase of the service.

Some keyless entry systems don't use replaceable batteries.

They are connected to the house or chassis batteries.

Mine last a long time. Long enough I forget when I last changed them. Easy to change, just two screws.

RvLock 4 AA batteries about 4 months with pretty heavy usage. Maybe 6 if I use the key some of the time.

Batteries in general last based on temps, usage, energy used per cycle (as previously mentioned friction)....and more...... so it really depends.

On my lock, 2 screws and battery change, then screw the 2 back in. 1 minute job. It is supposed to beep when low but I have yet to notice the low signal.
