Keyless Entry for Class C Winnebago Spirit
We just purchased our first Class C Motorhome, a Winnebago Spirit with an E450. It does not have a keyfob or keyless entry (none of the RVs available had those options). Tried to contact a Ford dealership in our area to see if these options are possible to add and the Service/Parts department was not helpful nor could they confirm whether or not this was an option that could be added.
Thought I would post to see if anyone else has had these options added to a Class C cab? Thanks!!

Our 2008 E450 came with a key less entry and alarm. I just assumed it was standard on the Ford cab back then.

I bought a new Ford pickup in 2007. I got the keyless entry on it. I dont believe it was standard, it was optional. I replaced the Ford with a Toyota Tundra in 2012, and tried to order a keyless entry because I really liked the feature on the Ford. I was told it was a Ford thing, and no one else could produce them. Who would have thought.

All my Ford's back to 2001 had key fobs. The three 2007 and up pickups all had keypads.

Search on line, th e 're are several have done the addition with list of parts. Was not expensive and I would bet someone like Cartoys could do it. One arrival was FMCA. Parts were $25 and I would bet plus fobs.

I went to EBay for a keyless entry kit for my 1999 E450.
I installed it in the driver's door, under the window switch.
I also cut the power to the inside lock button, because I used to hit it with my elbow, while getting out. Kept locking myself out.
The kit came with 2 fobs and a little control box, works fine for 3 years now.

The kit is available for about 15$. If the cab does not have power locks already, add 3$ a door. Now all you need is a E-geek to put it in. That can't be too hard as Matt (BIL) put the whole thing in his 1973 GMC.

2017 doesn't have KE. Ford suggested a local audo elect. Supplier, audiitronics, estimated cost for elect module and install $200, I didn't want mod. Since it is under warranty. It hasn't been a big deal really.
