Kill switch won't come back on

We turned off the kill switches to the chassis and domestic on a 2000Holiday Rambler Imperial DP, the chassis was really hard to turn off. when we turned them back on the domestic side came on fine but the chassis side did not, now there is no power to anything on the chassis. No lights, won't start, no gauges. The batteries are all good, it will start with the Aux start button....any suggestions would be appreciated!

I would spray a Electrical penetrant on it liberally . I use Corrosion Block. "exercise" (turn it off and back on) the switch slowly at first and then more vigorously. Do this several times unless it starts disintegrating. I would do my other switches also. all switches, pulls and valves should be lubed and exercised regularly. While more important on boats, your case points out the importance on RV's also. Best of Luck.

Hi ! Welcome to IRV2! We're sure glad you joined the gang!

It sounds like you have a defective disconnect switch! Have fun and keep her between the ditches!

Good luck, happy trails, and God bless!

Kodiakan is right on. These switches get corroded and then don't work correctly. I have had the kill switches do this a number of times on drag cars. You may have to replace and if you do have to DON'T skimp because of price. If you need one check out a quality one from Summit racing, Speedway or Jegs. All will have good ones.
