I apologize if my comment was rude. I didn't intend it to be. Having said that I have to say this.
This has been the most messed up thread I have ever seen on IRV2 from folks not reading the question to others just plain out attacking the person who needs help. It is the worst one I have ever seen.
Please don't judge the forum by one experience. I have gotten more good information from reading content on IRV2 than any other place in the RV community.
I'm sorry this turned out this way.

Did you ever consider that in order to install a fifty amp service for your RV the electrician might have to upgrade the whole service to your house costing thousands of dollars. 50 amps of 240 is a lot of juice and code probably wouldn't allow it. The service has to be sufficient to handle the fifty amps 24/7 even thought you'd probably never pull that much.

The OP’s question was answered and the thread has become old and bickering.

Thanks to those that helped answer the question and posted with the guidelines.
