Thanks for the reply, did you stay at the Kings Dominion KOA 4 long? Did you like it? Was it easy to get to the park I think there's a shuttle that you use it

I was on my way north or south, so it was an overnight stop the two or three times I stayed at the Kings Dominion KOA. The amusement park was closed each time (either COVID or the time of year, I don't know). You might call the KOA and see what shuttle arrangements they offer to the amusement park.

I thought the KOA was well-maintained and easy to get around. They sold scooped ice cream at the office/store. That was nice.

It's a really nice KOA. Easy in and out and close to both King's Dominion and the state fairgrounds. It does have a shuttle that will take you to the park and back for free that runs all day and into the evening. They have a ton of spaces but they do get full on busy weekends. The pull through spots are big and flat except for the one double spot. For some reason that one is on a slope. There's a truck stop across the road from King's Dominion, although there are much nicer ones just up the I95 in Ruther Glen. Down the 95 is Ashland where there are a number of RV dealers and a Walmart that carries RV supplies.

You can park at King's Dominion, but they'll put you by the buses. You won't want to put your slides out there.

I live about 25 miles east of that KOA. My in laws stayed there for several days when they visited. They enjoyed the camp grounds and had plenty of room for their slides. Class A winnebego. I dont think the amusement park is open now but the state fair is going right now. Ian's rain moving in tomorrow.
