Kitchen Under Cabinet Storage

Under the sink is a long storage space. It's hard to get to the left half because it's actually where the counter goes to the outer wall. You have to get on you knees and remove what's under the sink to get to stuff that is to the far left under the sink.

This diagram isn't exactly to size, but the upper left corner in blue is where my problem is.

Any ideas to utilize this area better?

They make half moon lazy Susan's that go into the dead corner. That would be an option. Ive also seen slide out trays but then you have to remove all the crap in front of the tray. I have a full lazy Susan in mine. So far haven't put too much on it because I know being underway will probably toss some stuff overboard.

Half moon wouldn't work because the door doesn't open into the corner. I have half moons in my house because the door opens into the corner. Sliding shelves would work, but like you said, then I'd lose everything under the sink just to get the slides to pull out of the corner

The counter goes all across on both sides of the sink and in an L shape along the stove.

I found this image at Dutchmen.com. It shows under the sink having 2 doors. Actually it's only one door on the left and 3 drawers on the right. But the left door is what goes under the counter to the left (under where they have items shown on the counter). THAT space is what is hard to utilize.

How about a long slender plastic storage container. Lots of various shapes and sizes at Wally World. Merely, slide it in/out!

Works as well at home!

The one I had in mind secures to the single door. I saw them when I was looking for solutions in my house but can't remember where they came from. They are pictured in this blog but don't see where they identified where they came from. They are the the first pic.

I already have one on the inside of the door for the plastic wrap boxes.
The door is not the problem, inside and to the left of the door is the problem.

I took pictures today when we were down there. Front, back and inside.
I'm thinking of removing the panel on the back side (exposed to the living room) and having it converted into a door....giving a back of the counter access. Little concerned though, over the wiring & pipe (as seen in the picture).

Thoughts?

MarkandTracy, The door sounds to be a good workable idea. As for the wiring and plumbing....it's little difficult (on this little Kindle) to fully grasp your plumbing/wiring situation. But....I'll throw this out there. This will cost you a little vertical storage, but how about building a false floor/bottom to cover the wiring/plumbing. Then you have a smooth, uninterrupted surface to slide the container in/out through your new access door. If it's the wiring that I see just below the sink bottom, it could be secured up and out of the way for clearance. Just thinking "outside the box"! Best of Luck! Sometimes these things can be a bit of a challenge!
