We stayed at Waters Edge about 10 minutes south of town a couple of times and it is very nice - in the top tier in the area. Be careful as there are some real dumps in the area. Eat an Okeeburger at the Uncle Larry's Rim Ditch Cafe - split it unless you are a giant eater.

We stayed one winter at a park in Pahoke on the south end od the lake. Not a bad place at all.

A little to the west is the Franklin Locks Corps of Engineer campground. Very nice but might be tough to get a reservation.
