Las Vegas overnight parking
We are on our way to the West Coast and are passing through Las Vegas tonight. We are looking for a free or inexpensive place to park for the night. We would like to be near the strip. Are there any casinos that are overnight parking friendly?

I just checked on Casino Camper and see that there is a large lot to the rear of Paris / Bally's that has been used in the past. It lists it as a "don't ask, don't tell" area to park. The reviews are a couple years old so may not be valid any more. I also check the American Casino Guide and find nothing on the strip that lists overnight RV parking.
I'll be watching this for answers too.

Most of the larger Hotels on the strip that have outside parking lots rather than parking structures will let you park in the rear parking lots, just make sure you let security know. Circus Circus had an RV CG right next store, they closed it down to upgrade but I'm not sure if you can still use their parking lot, or maybe the RV lot opened again.

Just look for an exceptionally large lot, and if you are woken up in the middle of the night and told to move, then move to another.

For all you military retirees or those having a federal ID, Nellis Air Force Base is right there in Las Vegas and has a very nice RV park. It is very inexpensive real close to everything. We had a great time staying there a couple years ago.

The RV Park at Circus Circus was open when we were there the end of February. Not cheap, but close to the strip.

Main St Station Casio RV Park
We paid total $19 for the night Oct 2015
Easy in/out with pull thru and full hookup.
Basically wired and holed parking lot.
Security presence and 1 block walk to the Freemont street experience.
Not on the strip but the Golden Nugget (old school) is on Freemont street.
Will stay there again whenever we return. 5 minutes with toad to the strip if so inclined.

It's been a few days, can you update us on what you found and where you spent that night in Las Vegas?

On the strip
Koa at circus circus moved out to Boulder, but there is a park at end of the strip called the oasis. Would need to use toad, but makes strip accessible

Sam's town on Boulder Hwy has a RV park and free transportation (bus) to the strip.

The KOA evidently moved out, but there is still an RV park at the Circus Circus. It is being run by Circus Circus. We stayed there the last week of February 2016.

Other than the price how did you like it. I was talking to a guy when we pulled in to check it out and he said that it was being closed down for renovations, and Circus Circus was taking it over. It did not look good at the time as there were several MH's parked that obviously were inoperable. He also told me part of the reason was that they had let the place run down over the years and many transients had set up camp/and or were using showers and bathrooms as their own. He said they going to make it an upscale CG.

We were there six days, and there were a few older RVs, and they were pretty much grouped together, but none seemed inoperable. Where we were parked, it was all newer RVs and we felt very comfortable there.

I would so much rather stay here than anywhere along/near the strip, which is way too douche these days. Every time I go to Vegas, the most fun I always have is the 1 day spent in old downtown. I need to switch the agenda so we only spend a day (or less) on the strip, instead.
