I'm really hard on chairs....6'2" and tipping the scales at 300 pounds. Whenever this topic is brought up, I always read through all the posts looking for a good quality chair. A few months ago, a poster was really high on this Timber Ridge model, linked below. All the joints are metal and through bolted, no rivets.
What I really like is the front legs are adjustable for uneven terrain. It also lets you adjust the front height to keep the pressure off of your thighs. The back is adjustable, I think about five positions and feels sturdy, even if you lean way back.
The chair is heavy, as can be expected with the solid construction. We use this chair at the campsite and have a nice set of bag chairs if we need to take a chair with us. I ordered one from Amazon and after I saw the quality, I ordered a second one. My wife also loves the chair.

My DW found a couple 'zero gravity' chairs at a local discount outlet for not too many bucks that are holding up well after several years 'settin' around' and many thousand miles in the 'basement' of our 5er. They are heavy though. We have had several sets in the past that fold into a bag but they have proven to be uncomfortable for our needs.

When buying anything for our camping needs I avoid RV stores/dealers like the plague. We bought a couple rocking chairs at Cabela's that work well for us, though they take up a lot more storage space than bag chairs.
My point is that Cabela's, Gander Mountain, and Dick's Sporting Goods are going to offer a wider selection than just about any other source and they are always having sales.
Good luck with your search for your perfect camp chair!

I don't own one, but they look sturdy and some nice amenities along with an expensive price. The people that had them were not small people. I would say the chairs held up to the weight really well.

2nd the Costco director chairs. Don’t recall the name but they are green and have the side tray. They stack flat and will last for many years. Cost was $39.99 last year. They also are one of the few folding chairs that don’t make my back sore.

and they have a good pocket system. the only drawback is there is no cupholder on the table side. I am 6'3" and 'about' 240.
