Lawn Chairs

I tried a search, but the topic was too vague and returned way too many unrelated posts, so I'm trying again.

Our folding chairs ["Director" style] don't seem to hold up well to either weather or weight. I am not petite...210, but most chairs claim to be worthy of 300 lbs. The seating "fabric" of our current chairs has deteriorated/failed in only a year or two.

I'm looking for opinions on what chairs people have found to be of good quality and comfort.
Some considerations: Size when collapsed Strength and sturdiness Comfort Price

We are in Vermont...not a hotbed of RV outlets, and I'm not a great fan of the only one within 70 miles [Camping World], so there is little opportunity to go and sit in a variety of options which would be the preferred method of evaluation [on-line searches aren't very touchy feely].

So I look forward to your suggestions and comments. I think we are interested more in the style which folds flat rather than those that fold into the "cigar" shape and then into a carrying bag, but all responses are appreciated.
Thanks, Ron

I found some Coleman ones at a local chain store. They had both steel and aluminum framed ones. Pretty sturdy too.

We full time so the whole size when put away is a big deal for me.
Price matters. Will it last or is better to go cheaper and replace more often?
I currently have one of those to costly and to large (even when folded) standard recliner camp chair that you see in every campground. I only have it because i stole from my adult daughters yard since she was not using it and i wantd to test it out for an extended time. It is comfortable but takes up way to much storage space and is a little to costly for what ya get.

I think the chair Linked below is just the right combination of price and comfort. It lasted about a year before the fabric ripped (keep in mind we full time so it gets used all the time not just random weekends) I weigh about 180, It holds up if i am careful, If i just plop all my weight into from a standing position wont last a a year.

I have found a year is about what a chair is gonna last if it used often. UV light alone is gonna take a huge toll in a year. If i get a year out of chair that is less than 25 dollars and i find comfotable and does not take as much room as those giant reclining things i am happy. We also carry a hammock to stretch out in.

it does not fold flat like the reclining ones but i find this much easier to find a spot in the basement where i can fit it in. I like being abe to throw it in the carrying case and toss it over my shoulder and grab a smaller cooler and walk to visit with folks, flat folded one are ackward to walk more than a few campsites over with for me.

We just bought these folding rocking chairs from Amazon for about $60 each and they work great, very sturdy. Our last ones lasted 4 years of steady use and although faded still held up, in fact our kids now have them.

We use director chairs purchased from Costco. I think they were Timber Ridge brand. I am 6'6" tall and 210 pounds and my wife is XXXXXX. Sorry, can't disclose that part. We find these chairs very comfortable when sitting for extended period around the campfire. They have the side tables for storage with drink holders. We have 4 full size and 2 child size for the grand children. Cost was $40 each for adult size.

I buy low priced chairs, as they need to be expendable. Have wind blow them away 2x, and the only thing that was ever pilfered in 16 years of FT.

I bought from LL Bean - we bought a rocker and a zero gravity model - lifetime warranty. They were $100 each. They collapse flat but are a little long, the rocker being the longest. They fit in a 4' deep bay slide out.

We're liking these...https://www.dickssportinggoods.com/p...RoC8iYQAvD_BwE

Haven't had them too long so don't know about length of life but so far, so good. We are pushing the weight limit but they feel sturdy & stable.

We purchased two zero gravity recliner chairs from Sam's 8 years ago. We still used them and they are carried in the basement of our 5ER. They collapse and store real easy and set up ease plus they are very comfortable. I would look either at Sam's or Costco to see if they offer any zero gravity recliners we love ours.

I bought Pammi one of those zero gravity chairs. She really like it, but has been saying that she'd like a rocking chair. I think this might be her Christmas present!

This is what I bought. Nice and sturdy, so far, and pretty comfy!
