LED bulb replacement

I want to swap out all my interior bulbs with led. Went through the coach today and made a list of what all I will need. Where do you guys get them from? Is there an online store everyone likes or is it just Amazon?

Lots of RV parts stores selling them these days.

I dropped my total amp draw 90% by going to LEDs.

I bought mine from China, sad to say, at around 1/10th the cost of retail in my area. Only thing is, you have to wait a month or 2 to get them.

Happy Glamping.

I replaced almost all of my 12v bulbs with LEDs several years ago. Two things I noticed from the replacements: There is a big difference between the them.

Also the replacements for the florescent fixtures emit radio frequency noise like nobody's business (static)

I replaced all the bulbs on our last two MH's with LED's. Makes a big difference. Both times I got them from Superbrightleds.com. Good service and knowledge, they also have the bulbs to replace the exterior lights.

Be careful, the inexpensive ones may not last very long. They are not made to take the vibration from the road. The best ones are RV rated. 1000bulbs.com is a great source. Stan

I have about 60 can lights in my rig. I bought cheap ones from China. Some of them emitted so much RF noise that it knocked my thermostat off line. I buy all mine from M4 Products now. Much better quality but much higher prices too.

Led bulbs are a commodity and you can buy them most anywhere, online or local stores like Autozone or Walmart. Some good online sources are amazon.com and superbriteleds.com and Ebay, but you can Google more.

You may want to educate yourself about led bulb parameters because there are more choices than with incandescents. Brightness (lumens) and color temperature (Kelvins) are the primary ones. I've written an article that is available on a sister site to this one, rvforum.net. See http://www.rvforum.net/miscfiles/LED...ng_for_RVs.pdf

Check out Yitamotors on Amazon.
I have bought LEDs from them for at least the last 6 years. Not a single failure. Delivery is real good. Price is more than fair. Quality is very very good. Also--full warranty.

I bought mine on e-Bay, The 1141, 921, and strip LEDs.

Color temperature is important. I prefer warm white, its similar to an incandescent bulb. Brightness is also important. The more "SMD" the brighter.

Here are two short articles I wrote when I did my LED conversion:

LED Conversion – 1999 Southwind 35S

Convert fluorescent fixtures to LED – 1999 Southwind 35S
