LED marker light upgrade (bulb vs new unit)

I have a 1999 MH Winnebago Class A which is new to me. I just upgraded the entire inside with LED Bulbs and just assumed I'd do the same to the outside lights. I noticed I have a broken marker light, the cover has a chunk out of it.. of course I want to eventually switch over to all LEDs. So, as I was shopping for a replacement cover I saw entire unit replacements, which got me wondering...
Is it more cost effective to replace the entire light unit vs just upgrading to LED bulbs? Is there any benefit or cons with either upgrade option?

Just looking for experiences and tips

I upgraded a folding trailer to LED a few years ago. I did the interior lights first using LED replacement bulbs. That was easy and worked fine.

I was planning to do the same with the outside lights, but started getting socket corrosion issues with the marker lights and so replaced the entire marker light fixture set. I did not get around to converting the tail break lights before I sold the camper.

I would check the sockets for corrosion and replace all of them if some are starting to show signs.

I have a 1995 went through the same experience. 20 years of exposure to the elements means they are going to be pretty fragile. After the second lens broke I replaced all of them.
These are the exact led replacements. You will have to snip the ring terminal off the ground wire and pull through the hole in the back to make your ground connection
