Length of trips, both milage and time

Just curious here. For those of us that are NOT full timers and NOT only weekend campers, how long are your trips in both miles and time? Also how many such trips do you do in a year? Non Covid years!!!

For us, unless the trip is to see family we are typically out for 4 to 16 weeks per trip and cover 1,000 to 12,000 miles. We try to do 2 to 4 longer trips per year with a smattering of shorter trips.

2 long trips per year 6-8 weeks each 6000-8000 miles, one to visit family and one to just go exploring. Then half a dozen shorter trips from a few days to a couple weeks depending on what opportunities arise.

We are gone about 1/2 the time, but the trips range anywhere from 5 nights to 3 months and 100 to 5000 miles!

When camping close to home, to avoid the weekend crowds we will go from Sunday leaving Friday. These trips tend to be closer to home (100-200 miles).

Our longer trips, both in miles and duration, will take us out of CA, usually up to Oregon and Washington, or over to Arizona, but sometimes much further.

Several 4-day 150 to 500 mile weekend trips with 1 or 2 3k mile week-long trips per year. Average using the coach 12 times annually.

We are averaging about one trip/month at this point. Typically within 200 miles, though we did take one 800 mile trip (roundtrip). Length of stay is typically 3 to 4 days. We are fortunate to have a lot of very nice places to "camp" that are relatively close. We have yet to make one of the grand trips. Seems other hobbies/pastimes get in the way.

Our longest trip has been 6000 miles and a month. Our shortest trips post retirement are 3 days as that is 1 day less than the young grand sons need to destroy the 5er and my nerves.
We've camped in 16 states and visited 10 other states without the
RV.
We do the Sunday to Friday thing often and a month in Florida in Jan or February. We were weekend warriors for 16 or 17 years before we retired in 2016. Today you likely won't find a weekend spot unless you book waaaaaaaaaaay in advance.

Before Covid-19 we did about 5-6 trips about 6- 7 weeks total in the RV per year. Drove about 4-6,000 miles.

Post Covid we spent 71 days and drove 10,000 miles in 2020.
Longest trip in 2020 was 5,000 miles and 5 weeks.
We will be out 91 days this year and drove 12,000 miles. Longest trip in 2021 was 6,000 miles and 6 weeks.

2022 is all planned. I think it’s 110 days in the RV with one 36 day trip to Wyoming. Roughly about 12,000 miles.

The big difference is I am done working for good as of November 30th this year. And took off more the last 2 years. Got to the point that the public is so mean and undeserving that they really don’t deserve my excellent skills anymore. They will get what they deserve, terrible service and long waits from now on. I quit this terrible American attitude toward professionals.
I’d rather not work than get verbally abused by jerks. It’s sad how the American public has become nothing but a bunch of jerks.

We are retired and not full time. We take a winter trip of 3-4 months. There is usually a summer trip of 2 months or so and a fall trip of 1-2 months. Yup, we are gone more than home! We average 12,000-14,000 miles a year.

Two 10 day trips of 2,200 miles each round trip. Two 10 day trips of 800 miles each round trip. Four long weekends of about 300 miles each. Still working. 700-800 miles per day on longer trips. Retiring from one job in a couple of years will increase to opportunities for longer trips. Limited there to one week every two months due to staffing.

Every year, IL to Florida, 3 stops along the way, stay 6 months. 1200 miles.

Come back in May, reverse the process. 1200 more miles.

We average 5 to 6 four day trips a year. Most trips are 200 to 500 miles away. This is mostly due to the DW's schedule as she is still working. We have to stay fairly close to home and if she is not working then she is not getting paid. I am retired so my schedule is pretty wide open.

We have not had one of the longer trips yet, but look forward to having that much time off. Hopefully within the next couple of years we will be able to take 2 or 3 months off at a time.

We are retired and just like to travel, but live in a house when not traveling.
Our coach is three years old and has 26,000 miles.
We make a number of short excursion trips of maybe 600 miles roundtrip that last anywhere from 4 days to three weeks.
We will make a couple longer trips lasting a couple months and cover maybe 1,000 to 3,000 miles.
We are rarely at home for more than a month before we get itchy feet.
In the ten years that we have been camping we have made 89 trips and are Happy Campers.
Thanks and wishing you all good travels,

Not quite retired and we bought the rig to do longer trips. But we only got one non-covid year.
Seveal 2-4 months, 4500 miles max, so far!

Our longest trip was 10 months followed the southern coast from Calf to Key West Florida to Maine. Ended up in Newfoundland, PEI, Labrador, then back to AZ. Have no idea what the mileage was.
