This may not be "breaking news" but I didn't see it mentioned anywhere.

With the passing of Life On Wheels founder and motivating force, Gaylord Maxwell, those superb seminars are ending. "Without Gaylord's leadership, his wife Margie and the family decided to discontinue the Life on Wheels program." So states the LOW web site.

We are really sorry to hear that.

Here is a link to the LOW site and statement.

Gaylord will be missed as will the Life On Wheels seminars. We attended Life On Wheels 3 times and got new and valuable information every time.

I never had the chance to attend one of the seminars. But I will miss his humor, comments and advise in his column in Motorhome magazine.

One of the great things about the Life On Wheels seminars is that they had something for just about everyone from wannabees to full-timers. They always asked how many of the attendees were wannabees and didn't yet own an RV, and it was always 30 to 40% of the crowd.

Sad to hear the seminars have ended. I had hoped to attend one someday. Just goes to show, one should not put things off.
