Lighting Question
We are camping State Parks in TN and AR and we leave after we get off work on Fridays and have been arriving after dark. I am thinking about installing 12v lights around the camper so we can see to set up instead of tripping in the Dark and using flashlights. Just wonder what some of you do. I was thinking about wiring them to the battery with a switch at the front so I can just flip the switch to see to back into the dark sites and be able to set up. Any suggestions????

I bought some led 12v worklights and found some suction cup brackets for them on amazon. I hooked them to the battery with alligator clips. I stick them to the side of the trailer so I can see to back in the site then set up. They are plenty bright and the only thing I really had to do was add some additional wire and the alligator clips.

My motorhome has docking lights. Basically white lights pointed backwards down the side. I would think you could add something like that to help.

Lighting Question
Because I travel a lot for work, I end up getting in after dark. I solved the problem by installing a few LED license plate lights just under the edge of the sidewall.
They cast a good amount of light around the perimeter of the unit without glaring in your eyes or bothering those around you.

Do the sites you camp at have electricity? The best idea I ever saw was laying out led rope lights on the site, like airport runway lights, before backing up in the dark. It was plenty of light for them to set up, but not too bright to illuminate the whole campground.

Well this is the solution I came up with today and will try it out next weekend at Mississippi River State Park in AR. First I wired the campers running light so I can plug them in when disconnected from the truck during final set up and I purchased 4 of these little LED lights from Autozone today for $3.95 each. They take a single AAA battery and they are magnetic, so I will give that a go and see if its enough.

When ever I can get my hands back on a Warren County EMS truck I will be able to find them perfect lights. Three heads mounted in a water tight ABS case and fits on the bottom of storage boxes under the body.

Yep, my last three MH's have had them starting with the 2000 Dutch Star. Very handy to just flip a switch.
