Lights over table are too bright!!

The lights over our table are too bright on 2019 Windjammer. You almost need sunglasses to play cards at the table. Anybody else have this problem.
I would like to hear what people have done and what you would recommend.

Swapping the bulbs comes to mind. No end to the combinations of lumen and temperature combinations with all manner of LED bulbs. They're cheap enough, buy a few different kinds and you'll know pretty quick which ones you like. The current ones might be marked which would give a basis in reference for what's "too much".

Thanks for the reply but the bulbs are an integral part of the shade.
I would have to replace the whole fixture so what I would like to do is add a fixture that supports removable bulbs as I have led bulbs.
But I can’t find a fixture that would look nice under our cupboard and above our table.
Amazon has a lot of options but I don’t know what would work and be softer than our existing fixtures.
I wish I could add a picture of what we have but I am unsure of how to upload a picture using my I PAD.
I don’t have my PC with me.

Are they 12 volt lights or 120? Can you add a dimmer? Not all LED's are dimmable, but some are. If it is 120 volts replacing the fixture and using dimmable bulbs will solve your problem. If 12 volts try a rheostat to reduce the voltage.

So when that light burns out you're going to have to replace the whole fixture anyway. Why not just do it now since it bothers you?

Probably a silly idea, but you may be able to insert a darker screen inside your fixture to block some of the light. Gray 1/16" plexiglass sheet is fairly cheap and can be cut to size.

Just a thought.

Sounds like a plan but what to use and how can I be sure they won’t be the same wattage?
The lights in the new trailer are brighter than any in my house.

LED lights 12 volt.
No plans to try a dimmer.

I’m going to talk to the Rv parts supplier.

I just thought maybe someone had this same issue.
Thank you

These sites may help in your shopping:

https://www.thecurveahead.net/rv-lighting-ideas/

You will want to look for 'warm' bulbs rather than 'cool' which are harsher.

Give this company a call for suggestions:

Another Idea

Our coach has 3 bulbs in each fixture with a push button switch in the housing. I found a 3-way push button switch online and rewired the fixture (not really difficult) for one bulb, 2 bulbs, all 3 bulbs and off. No idea why the manufacturer didn't do this in the first place...

Buy a spray can of window tint, lightly spray one coat. Test, repeat until you are happy.

Problem solved

We were at the dollar store and found in the party supply section. Table doilies or coasters for wine glasses.
I found out that the lens could be removed to allow the lights to be screwed to the cupboard.
Here is what I did I removed the lens and lay 3 paper coasters the lens.
Worked great, has a frilly look when the lights are on

Sounds like a good solution but watch if they become scorched. It may be too hot for the paper if it's inside the lens.

Yes I will be very careful we only use those lights when we play cards.
Last night was not an issue at all but we will be very careful.
