LiTime lithium batteries

Considering using two LiTime 280AHr batteries in a TT. What are folks experiences with this brand or more so this model?

Of some concern is issues with them in parallel. I've read one detailed review where they had troubles with discharging evenly.

I have already watched William Prowse's videos and others.

Been installing a number of them past 6 months. The BMS does it all. Good stuff so far.

I installed two of them in my 2005 Newmar Mountain Aire. I had no problems with them while I owned that coach.

As far as uneven discharge - what was the percentage difference? I think a lot of that kind of stuff is purely academic - it will not matter to most people in most circumstances.

I have 8 200ah of them in my rig. Have installed close to a 100 in other rigs. Never have had any issues.

I do manage my batteries with victron multiplus.

Highly recommend them!

I was concerned because he had reported that only one of the two batteries was discharging at a time. It required two weeks of emails with the manufacture to get it straightened out. It all worked in the end. I do not know the date for this issue and what may have changed since then. Thus my question. The percent difference was 100%, more than academic.

Put a LiTime 230AH in my 25RDS this summer and so far I'm happy. Considering another 230AH to help out with my 12V fridge. I only have a Victron shunt and controller so nothing fancy.

OP here.

First thanks for the comments so far.

I suspect the guy with the discharge issue had them wired in a classic parallel scheme.

In my case I'm looking at wiring each battery to a 400amp buss bar with 2/0 and then run to master switch, Class T fuse for +, shunt for -, then to second set of buss bars and a Victron Multiplus II 3000 watt all with 4/0.

We have 2 x 100 amp hour litime blue tooth batteries under the bed. Work well. We use our old intel power converter to charge them. They get to about 92 percent. Good enough.

If you are going to go lithium get them fast. Tarrifs are coming.

I just installed 4 of the Group 24 Smart 100ah in a parallel configuration using the "Connection Halfway" scheme detailed in the Victron Energy Wiring Unlimited guide (pg 18).

One thing I've noticed is that the LiTime app and my VE Smartshunt disagree. I found an Info pop-up in the LiTime app that says minimum current sampling for charge/discharge is >1.5A (+-0.5A). When the trailer is not being used the load is only ~0.4a. So over the last week or two the SmartShunt shows the SOC down to 88% while the LiTime app still shows each battery at 100%. I haven't yet had an opportunity to really test things out since the swap but this will be something I am watching closely. I am wondering if it is just a display issue within the LiTime app and internally the BMS is still keeping accurate track.

Just click the little blue tooth symbol up in the top right hand corner. It should update.

That's what I thought it would do - but so far I've not seen it happen. As you can see on the screenshot below the upper left corner indicates it updated an hour ago - yet shows no discharge. When I connect to each of the 4 batteries individually I get the same thing, though one battery shows 1a discharged another shows 2a.

I hear ya. It eventually will once it figures out the discrepancy between the voltage and the indication. It’s happened once or twice to us.
