Location of Victron BMV 712 Monitor

I am installing a Victron BMV 712 in a Minnie Winnie 2017 25B. I'm scratching my head trying to figure out where to put the actual monitor. It's not a trivial task (at least for me) to route the wiring behind any of the panels that I would want to mount the monitor in.
Since it's Bluetooth connected to my phone, is there any reason why the monitor can't be mounted (protected) in the battery compartment after it's been connected? Is there any need to physically access the actual monitor once the connections have been made?
The battery compartment is not easily accessible under the steps so I don't want to be getting under the steps unnecessarily.

Iíve had a Victron 700 installed for about a year. I have found their software to be really reliable so you probably could leave the display with your batteries and just us their app on your mobile device.
