I found the story interesting. At least he may get a feel for what normal Americans are feeling in these times, and convey it to the the clueless leadership in Washington

I would like to invite he and his wife to a IRV function to experience the good times we have

I can't answer the first question. I posted it simply because a United States Supreme Court Justice is probably one of the last people I'd expect to see parked on a Wal-Mart lot.

Rusty

I bet he takes mama to prison after he picks her up at the train station and his toad is a pick up. Lets see...mamma, prison, train and pick up. I bet he likes country and western music too.

I understand you won't find any public identification or description of Thomas' RV, and I believe he has security at all times, although I may be wrong about that.

He's not the first to show such interests. Former Senator Ben Nighthorse Campbell used to travel around in truck/tractor pulling an older race trailer with living space in the front and a 1923 T bucket hot rod in the rear.

I read on an RV Business website that he has a 1999 40 foot Prevost motorhome, there was no mention of any extraordinary security.

The then Senator and I drank a couple beers and talked motorcycles and shooting invasive coyotes 8 years back too. He was a great guy to hang with in the CO outback.
I didn't have any additional security either that day.

If he got a ticket for parking overnight at Walley world, do you think he could appeal it to the supreme court?

It is a 1999 Prevost 40 Footer.
If you click on this LINK and then click on the play button, you can here the interview with Mrs. Thomas.

I remember reading in either Motorhome Mag or FMCA mag some years ago about famous people who were rvr's....Clarence Thomas was one and Ernest Borgnine was another. I do think it is interesting to read that a Supreme Court Justice enjoys a lifestyle we also enjoy and, in fact, uses Walmart at times.

Thanks for posting.

The SC justices do not have security. With his humble beginings, I would suspect he carries hos own security. He has been doing this many year. I saw him discussing it around his book tour many years ago. His book is very interesting also as it describes the real American dream from extreme, extreme poverty to sucess. He even gives the "secret". It is in short supply today. Hard Work.

Yes, it is great that Mr. Thomas and his wife enjoy the RV life style. It is also wonderful that they stay at Walmart.
Mr. thomas and his wife are not the only high profile people who enjoy getting back to mother nature. Many actors, singers, racecar drivers have MH and enjoy using them to travel with their families.
The only thing they ask, is if you realize who the are, is to give them a little space and let them enjoy themself not by running around the CG telling everyone who is camping there. That is Mrs. Thomas's biggest problem, time to themself.

This story is newsworthy why.
Maybe the OP wanted to get the Wal-Mart Police all fired up!
