Spanish Peaks on I-25 North from Raton in May 2014...not a windshield shot as much as a pilot's window but still a great one!

Our son together (I have two grown daughters) is away at college - University of California Santa Barbara. We picked him and his girlfriend up on Saturday morning and drove out to the county beach. It's quite a twisty road to get there and then we were treated with fantastic panoramas and a site right ON the beach!
The funniest thing was that it was pretty windy (on the ocean) and by 8pm it must have been blowing about 40 and sent all the tenters packing - they all packed up and left for the night!

When was this? I am headed there in two weeks. I am crossing my fingers that it isn't too windy. We are staying up on the hill with electric.
