looking to replace stock radio

On my 2006 discovery I have the stock radio and I'm thinking to replace it with a pioneer with navigation the one that is the big screen not the one that slides out and folds up, does anyone out there as one of those radios that could give me any advice on it? thanks Joe.

joe, I would go for a high quality marine radio with satillite cd/weather band dash unit and get a laptop/gps program, can't beat a wide screen display for navigation.
I can't help but wonder as to how long that neat flip up unit would remain in YOUR dash...

Hi ninos,
I just upgraded from a Pioneer AVIC-NC2 (large fold out screen) to a Pioneer AVIC-Z120BT (larger screen). I just got it installed yesterday. It was a 1 1/2 day DIY project. I like the larger screen. The Z120 screen is also much more crisp than the NC2. The NC2 had the ability to find locations by phone number. I lost this capability with the Z120, but gained the ability to find locations by lat/lon coordinates. The bottom line is I like how the Pioneer products work and are very user friendly. The Z120 also has blue tooth capability for cell phones. It also will communicate with IPODS and IPHONES. It allows speech recognition. This allows hands free operation.

It will take a few trips to learn how to use this unit. While cumbersome, the user manual is very thorough.
